Chats Palace maintained their late season form with an impressive win
against Tufnell Parkians.
Having been put into bat, Chats Palace took advantage of first use of the
exerimental orange ball, which enhances visibility, but offers predigous
swing and bounce in the first ten overs or so.
In the hands of Chats Palace's disciplined attack, backed up by alert
fielding, Tufnell Parkians were restricted to a score of just 80; despite a
series of dropped catches by Chats' Sam Hickey.
With the ball not offering similar assistance to the Parkians' bowlers
during Chats Palace innings, Chats cruised past the target in relative
comfort to set up a nailbiting end to the season which, should Old
Ranwellians beat Victoria Lounge, could result in a three-way tie for the
4th division title.
