Newham A have left the league

Sabi hopes to put together the old Newham A for next season and has also promised to return the trophies as soon as possible. All games played, rained off or won by default against Newham A are now VOID. The league tables have been amended accordingly (though all teams remain where they were after the voided games are removed).

Let Sarah know about friendlies

Sarah Barnard has cancelled pitches not required for league and cup purposes. Can anyone who has arranged a friendly in VP using a league-booked pitch PLEASE let Sarah Barnard know (SBarnard@iee.org.uk).

Anyone seen Gary's trainers?

Gary Horsman of Chat's Palace has lost a pair of new blue-grey Clarks trainers. Last seen by the edge of the main Vic Park pitch on Thursday (21 June) when Chat's moved to the number two pitch to let Old Fallopians and Rose & Crown finish their delayed Cup game. Contact Gary (gary@theatre-venture.org) with any info.

All games will be played at Victoria Park from Thursday June 28 

As there are three playable pitches again at Victoria Park, and two fewer teams in the league, games booked for Wray Crescent will be played at Victoria Park from Thursday June 28.

Newham B & C have withdrawn from the league

Under Rule 11 all matches played v Newham B & C have been made void.  See fixtures and Asif Choudhary's email for more details.

Wicketkeeper Jay Patel of Grasshoppers 2 manages a smile after medic tells him the ball which hit him had broken his nose. Grasshoppers 2 went on to beat Old Fallopians by six wickets. Jay has since recovered and continues to play.

Pacific losing finalists in Wray Crescent 6-a-side

It was glorious weather, there was free food and the FA Cup Final was relayed over a sound system. Three league teams took part: Old Fallopians, who fell at the first fence, Victoria Lounge who lost in the semi-finals, and Pacific who made it to the final but came second to Washington CC.
