Tuesday 30 July 2013, Victoria Park

RJ 21
James 2-0-17-1 Nas 3-0-30-1 Billy 3-0-35-1

Mad Morrocas: 126 for 5 in 16 overs
Hugo 40 Mungo 36
Bhushan 4-0-32-2 Arj 3-0-18-1 Mike D 3-0-21-1 Abhijit 2-0-22-1

A 6th league win out of 6 for the Tigers.

After winning the toss the Bengal Tigers chose to bat. A great start to the bowling saw Mad Marrocas concede only 10 runs off 3 overs. Top bowling in particular from Sam.

However, the Marrocas bowling then cracked. Whether it was the left hand / right hand batting combo we'll never know but the Tigers then scored 71 runs off the next 5 overs to bring up 81 at the half way point.

It was a solid but unspectacular batting display that took the Tigers up to 149 runs, but it was an incredible 48 extras including 42 wides (24 extra deliveries) that was the star.

A tight opening bowling spell from the 2 Mikes saw only 32 runs conceded off the first 5 overs. However, the Marrocas were up for the challenge and good batting from Mungo and Hugo saw the Marrocas needing 40 off the last 2 overs. A six off the first ball gave Marrocas some hope, but ultimately they were to come up short. It was the extras that did for them.

Special mention to Hugo for the one handed boundary catch, the Tigers umpires for their honestly in twice calling 1-short, Nic for umpiring, Warren for braving his injury and coming to the pub, and Abhijit's white trousers for staying so white (get your knees dirty man).
