Island progress to the final of the cup for the first time in their history defeating local rivals Tower Hamlets by 4 wickets.

On a lovely evening Tower Hamlets won the toss and unsurprisingly chose to bat.

The top and middle order scored freely and put away any loose deliveries on a rapid and small pitch 2.

All the Island bowlers had figures they never want to see again and Tower Hamlets posted a massive 187 off their 16 overs.

Island requiring around 12 an over were always ahead of the run rate knowing every over had to go for big runs, but clever shots and running ensured that slogging wasn't necessary to win the game.

Rob and Dipayan batted very well and established a great start and the game was finished off by the middle order with an over to spare!

Jubilation for Island as I don't think there has been a higher scoring chase by any team in the league history (correct me if i'm wrong) and for Tower Hamlets they are not quite sure how they managed to lose the game after posting such a huge score!

Bring on the final!! Wooooo
