Tawheed’s 100% record was destroyed by a talented and Hungry London
Tigers outfit.
The 'Tigers' had come into the game on the back of 2 defeats and had to get
back to winning ways, and they sure did that in style today.
Tawheed entered the game with 4 first team players missing. The Lack of fire
power in all departments was evident, as the Batting Collapsed from 43 for 1
in the 5th over to 80 for 5 by the 10th over.
Only the wagging tail composed of skipper Saj Rehman and debutant Bassat
Abbas gave the score card some respectability as they saw the total to 134
off the allotted 16 overs.
London Tigers began their run chase in style against an untried and untested
bowling attack composed of debutants Bassaat and Anwaar.
Unfortunately their lack of experience in the VPCCL was punished by Tigers
batsmen Shumon and Tamim. They smashed anything short or wide of the wicket
out of the park.
Tawheed had plenty of chances in the field but some sloppy fielding and
three dropped catches meant the Tigers cantered to victory.
Tawheed were totally outplayed by a London Tigers outfit who took no heed to
the formbook and took the honours in this relatively one-sided affair.
