Tawheed began their Division 1 campaign with a thriller on Pitch 3.

Winning the Toss, Tawheed opted to bat first and set the London Fields boys a target.

With some tight bowling from the London Fields' bowlers, Tawheed built their innings carefully and steadily.

With Ash playing the anchor, Nadeem continued his purple patch with the bat, with some extravagent shots finding the boundary. A lack of communication led to the run out of Nadeem.

This brought the man of the moment Mohammed Fazal to the crease. Fazal and Ibrar Rallyed in the late overs to help Tawheed to a par score for pitch 3 of 146.

London Fields made their intentions very clear with Will and Robin attacking Tawheed's opening bowlers.

London Fields continued and kept up with the required 9 runs an over with some slick running between the wickets.

The Tawheed fielders heads dropped and looked jaded. The only respite came when London Fields Top scorer Will Isaacs had to retire upon reaching his 50.

This brought 2 new men to the crease, where the momentum of the London Fields innings slowed only slightly.

The game reached a climax with 11 required off the last over to Win. Man of the Match, Nadeem was given the responsibility of the death over.

Some accurate bowling meant London Fields needed a boundary off the last ball to win and the London Fielders batsmen could only manage 2 as their batsman was run out attempting the third run to achieve a tied score.

Tawheed had snatched victory from the Jaws of defeat by a faint margin of 1 run.
