Hoorah! The TC's finally arise from their record breaking slump!
Underacheiving Tower Cavaliers won the toss and elected to put willow to
leather on a balmy July evening in Victoria Park. After losing their
openers, Steve MCQUEEN Williams and keeper Kenneth Marshall(LAW) for scores
of 3 and 1 respectively, it took the formidable hairy legend Stuart BEARDO
Onslow and the languid and fluid Abbas RIZLA Rizvi to light the joint up in
spectacular fashion.
They noched up a half centuries and headed to the retirement home for the
likes of the good Doctor Johnson, King Duncan and Master Maroof Ahmed to
clear the decks... 169-3. The Wrong Un's kept their heads above water as
much as the TC's alowed. The downfall being the regular wickets taken by the
Andrew DEADLY Dickson 3-19 & Steve McQUEEN Williams 3-26. Bad luck the the
WRONG UN's..and well the TC's...after three sickening defeats, we are back
on the road again! That long and winding road.. Godspeed, Alkesh LORD LUCAN
Soalnki. - Alkesh SolankiPlayed in good spirit, Tower Cavs' being
deserved winners, setting a decent total to 'chase'. Openers went for 3
between them and damage limitation set in about half way through, as we
about as threatening to their score as Emily Heskey. - Allan Young
