A thoroughly enjoyable start to the season on a beautiful evening, London
Fields comprehensively outclassed the debuting Regents team. A late
onslaught in the last 4 overs of the London Fields innings by Skinner added
a lot of momentum, after Lord had laid the foundations with an excellent 39,
featuring some superb cuts and drives through the off side.
Regents' innings never really managed to get going, tight bowling by Graham
and Turley at the start had the newcomers 4 down after 6 overs, and, despite
some fortuitous battling at the end by Salmon and Donnellan, Regents never
really looked like threatening London Fields.
