An excellent game played in right spirit. ELCCC
won the toss and without hesitation elected to bat. New opening duo of Altaf
and Iqbal soon made elccc's intentions clear. Altaf in paticular was seeing
the ball like a football and hitting sixes at his will.
He scored an unbeaten 54 with 5 sixes. Iqbal
played a superb hand and when Altaf had to retire after his half century
Iqbal and syed kept the good work going. Syed also went on to score an
unbeaten half centry. Iqbal after playing a superb knock got bowled on an
excellent delivery. In came Ajmal who took just a couple of balls to hit his
first boundry.
Finally Ajmal's hard hitting came to an end when
he had scored 34. Umar and Mohit gave finishing touces by scoring 28 runs in
last 2 overs. Junoon's batsman did not have much luck when batting. Tieght
bowling by ELCCC bowlers from the begining made sure that mamoth total of
212 was always going to be difficult and when wickets started to fall on
regular intervals soon it became clear that ELCCC is going to get home with
ease.
Only Faiz showed some resistance and scored 22
runs. Shaz and Naz had a little stubborn partnership towards the end but
that was not enough to come over strong line up of ELCCC. Junoon is
definately a good team and surely they are going to do a lot better in
coming games. Good Luck to all and lets hope cricket always wins.
