Tawheed v Mad Morrocas

Tuesday 17 July 2012, Victoria Park
Tawheed won by 5 wickets

Tawheed lost the toss and were put into field

Mad Morrocas: 125 for 7 in 15 overs
Derek 50 Not out
Charlie 21
Mohammed Ali 2 0 10 1 Fahad Khan 2 0 14 1 Arshad Ali 3 0 24 2
Fazal 3 0 20 2

Tawheed: 128 for 2 in 15 overs
Fazal Mohammed 50 not out
Arshad Ali 50 Not Out
Billy 3 0 21 1

Tawheed continued their winning ways against an upbeat Maroccas outfit. With Derek of Contenders guesting for Maroccas, batting at No 5 Derek spared Maroccas early blushes as Maroccas were looking to fold for under 80 at one point.

Derek and Charlie put on a late rally and put on a par score of 125 on an unmowed pitch 3. Tawheed stalwart Fazal returned to the fold with a scintillating 50 and Arshad continued his purple patch with a 3rd consecutive 50 under his belt.

The only wickets to fall were that of Waqar Ali, who decided to open and Nadeem, who look out of sorts not opening the innings. Maroccas bowlers were all very useful especially Deceptive Jimmy and Speed merchant Billy.

All rounder Charlie looks like a good find too for the Maroccas. Tawheed have hit form at he right time and will need to as the cup is around the corner.

A disappointing league campaign due to the opening day blushes against Island wil haunt us for a long time to come. There’s always next season guys - well done so far.
