East 8 lost the toss and were put into field. Old Ranwellians got off to
a slow start and picked up the pace in run rate after a couple overs.
A decent partnership between the openers put East 8 in some pressure but Old
Ranwellians were unable to sustain it as wickets began to fall. East 8
fielded very well and restricted their opposition on 103 runs.
East 8 began their batting innings similar to their oppositions but it
wasn't long before Babs and Kash got going. It was 48 runs before the first
and only wicket fell. Babs enjoyed a good innings of 22 which included a
classy SIX.
Kash kept going with Zam supporting him at the other end. The pair took the
innings to 100 when Kash had to retire at 50. Well done Kash.
East 8 cleared up in 13 overs. The game was played in the best of spirits
and the weather even held up. Good luck to the Old Ranwellians in the cup
matches.
