Finally, some sun! A very pleasant evening in Victoria Park, Tower
Cavaliers chose to set a target, but were put on the back foot by some
hostile bowling from Walsh (putting himself on a hattrick), and tight
bowling from the 'other end' by Salmon.
Appleby chipped in as well, although some lusty blows from Omer hauled
Tower Cavaliers over the hundred mark, before he was dismissed in a double
wicket first over from Donnellan. Some scrambled singles brought the target
to 113.
Solanki bowled some good pace variations to beat the batsmen on
occasion, but Farmar and Mortimer looked well settled (establishing bowling
actions with the umpire not withstanding).
The introduction of Omer threatened to turn the match, especially with
a brilliant in dipper that castled Mortimer, but Walsh scored quickly to get
Regents over the line.
