On a dull, wet and windy day both teams decided to arrive at the pitch and
were adamant to not let the weather us from playing cricket.
The captain decided to toss and play a 12 over game and get a result.
Wrong Uns won the toss and chose to field.
In challenging conditions with the rain on and off the players decided
to say on and continue and play. In such difficult conditions East 8
finished on 80 from 12 overs with a classy innings from Zam with 38 runs.
Wrong Uns began strong in the first over until Zam began his magic
with the ball this time. Every over saw a wicket for Zam and half way
through the game and it s still 50/50 chance for both teams.
East 8 contained the Wrong Uns and managed to restrict them to finish
with 6 runs short of victory.
East 8 celebrated their first victory but hats off to both teams who
showed commitment to the game. Good luck to the Wrong Uns in the rest of the
season and keep up the spirits.
